In her art, Vernice has a fondness for incorporating a diverse range of embellishments and fabrics, including jewels, sequins, beads, Swarovski crystals, lipstick, eyelashes, flowers, silks, scented oils, shimmering metallics, and glitter. From 6 TO 60ISH SIXTY, Vernice’s brand, draws inspiration from her childhood to her womanhood. She fondly recalls “painting on her clothes,” a fun experience supported by her mother’s blessing to express her creativity freely. @Circa 1980 Vernice worked as a Fashion Designer in NYC for 20 years. In 2000, she ventured into hand-painted art & illustrations on jeans, jackets, tees, and dresses. In 2021, she printed her Fashion Arte on Fabric to create Sustainable Statement Style Arte to Wear under the brand Sixty by Vernice. This brand represents a fusion of art and fashion, curated visions intertwined with thread and fabric.
